Fiber optic cables with different elements

For shipbuilding applications, LEONI offers next to fiber optic cables with polymer optical fiber (POF) also cables with polymer cladded fiber (PCF) and glass fiber with the same properties. This makes it possible to realise customer-specific new, high-performance and broadband applications at different wavelengths, even as OEM goods. The cables are problem-free in terms of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), no potential equalisation and no shielding is necessary. 

With the DNV-GL approval, the fiber optic cables are certified for shipbuilding. This ensures that the shipyards use a tested cable on the ships, because it is precisely here that the reliability of the cables is of decisive importance.
